I attended high school on the U.S. territory of Guam, where I had the opportunity to island hop to Hawaii and Saipan. One common feature among all three islands is the abundance of roosters and chickens. These birds are protected by law, and their presence is beneficial as they help control the insect population. This series pays tribute to my years growing up in these North Pacific islands and celebrates the vibrant spectrum of colors found in these local birds.
