I attended high school on the U.S. territory of Guam, where I was influenced by the vibrant packaging of Asian cigarettes. You could buy a pack of clove cigarettes for just 25 cents! These two screen prints were inspired by my late-night dancing at Japanese discotheques, where the sweet aroma of clove cigarettes filled the air.
